- Parking: There is ample parking in the unmarked spots (each unit does have a one-car attached garage). When the "snowbirds" arrive, however, these spots tend to fill at the end of weekdays and over the weekends;
- Noise: Should my next door neighbor chose to not "blast" his music on occasion, I would not hear a thing. The community itself is very quiet, with the acceptable sounds of everyday living in a setting of this nature;
- Grounds: Again, it is only the "man (or woman. for that matter)" factor which tends to ruin things... Too many pet owners do not pick up after their pets around here. I do see, however, both gardeners and maintenance working hard at trying their best to keep the grounds as beautiful as they are;
- Safety: It is very safe here. The only act of vandalism I have witnessed (slashing of a vehicle's four tires) seemed to have been a personal vendetta instead of a random act of violence;
- Staff: At first, the two ladies at the office did not seem as willing as one would believe they should be... But with time, and ensuring I demonstrated my own values as a resident, they have become quite friendly and professional as well as effective;
- Maintenance: While the two maintenance workers on staff do seem to work tirelessly, equipment at the fitness center may take longer to be fixed (not their specialty, I am sure);
- Overall: I would absolute recommend La Terraza, with the reminder that there are no perfect communities, as one should simply focus on trying to find a community with the most qualities while understanding there will be negative aspects to living anywhere.
