The staff can't seem to get the work orders right to maintenance unless you talk to the new guy. Maybe because no one seems to stay. When I first moved in Debbie and Cesar were great and were a big reason I chose the laurels. The new guy is the only one who wants to actually help you. He actually updates you as to what's going on. Maybe his customer service skills can rub off on the girls there. Otherwise be prepared to call in your requests at least three or more times to get it done correctly!
The walls are pretty thin, but it's an apartment so you are going to hear people. The biggest problem other than the office is the gate. I'd rather no gate than people tailing me in or being terrified that the pole is gonna break on my car when I'm driving through! Besides it is usually up or broken anyways. People are getting in so why not get rid of it? Or give us remotes. Trying to open the gate in the rain is miserable with the cards.
The location is awesome, but they lock the back gates to Central Park which is the best feature of the whole place. Sucks that they do that when there are break-ins. It doesn't seem to make a difference. It's not like they are stealing stuff and walking out of the community with it! They probably got in through the useless gates!
I won't renew again and would not recommend.
