I moved to Tallahassee to go to college and lived in College Plaza during my four years here. The good part is, it's cheap, clean and in a convenient location. Both local universities are close by, the post office, public library, civic center, museum and bus stations are all within walking distance plus there's a public bus stop just outside the front door if you don't have a car and need to get around town. If you enjoy the college nightlife scene there's a local watering hole called Potbellies a block away.
The not so good part is the noise. It's not non-stop noise but the apartment complex is on the same street as several frat houses and when there's a party going on the whole block knows it so good luck getting some sleep. As for the other reviews, I've never had a roach problem but I have noticed the layered paint. I've never felt the least bit unsafe, in fact I hardly ever locked my door. The staff was always cheerful and helpful with any problems.
All in all it's a fairly decent place to live.
