Unfortunately I lived in Belcourt for a year and a half. I had a very short time to find somewhere to live when moving from out of state and regretfully did not do much research. When moving in we were told that the previous renters had been there for awhile so everything would be redone (carpet, paint, upgraded kitchen appliances, and bathroom floors). At move in, we discovered that the carpets were not replaced, but cleaned, BADLY. While the refrigerator was replaced, the movers ripped a whole in the cheap linoleum while installing it, which was never fixed though we were told it would be. After a couple of months we started noticing an old, moldy smell throughout the apartment which the complex would not do anything about. In the bathrooms, it was obvious that maintenance caulked over the mold rather than fixing the problem. They had also redone the ceiling several times ( you could tell b/c there were about 5 different pattern) to cover up a leak from above which continued to cause bubbles in the ceiling!
If you have a maintenace problem do not even bother calling because they will never show up to fix it. For the last 6 months of my lease, a drain was releasing water and mud in front of my front door (we were on terrace level) which was impossible to step over when entering our apartment, therefore it was constantly being carried inside!
On top of all the problems I experienced while living in Belcourt, the worst part was the management team! Everyone that works in that office is rude and uncaring. Instead of dealing with a problem they get an attitude and make an excuse. The complex did change management but they did not offer any better customer service.
Another issue in this complex was the kids. I don't know what is wrong with their parents, but they were out in the parking lots at inappropriate hours and during the day walking down the middle of the road and would not get out of the way for cars. Teach your kids some manners!
For $50 more per month I moved about 3 miles away to a complex that is 100 times nicer and safer! Please, please, please, do not give these people a dime! It's not worth it!
