I had a two bedroom. I was the only tenant. I lived there 4 years there was a few problems when I first moved in, but with my maintenance experience I fix it myself. At that time maintenance march to the beat of there own drum. With the new owners things did improve. When I moved I expected to receive my entire security deposit, but I knew they would find something to charge me with. I moved out of state and when I got the check for my security deposit, they charged me $173.00 to replace damaged carpet. The funny thing about that is they're suppose to replace the carpet anyway every couple of years. Now the padding for the carpet got damaged when my toilet over flowed because of a clogged line outside the unit. The could have replaced it then, that is why it is mandatory for everyone to have renters insurance. Anyway it was time for me to get out of there because of the mice problem. The first 3 years no rodent problem, but the last year they were out of control.
