Resident 2007 - 2010

6/1/2010

My husband and I lived in the Irene for two and half years. We recently moved out because we are relocating to another state. We loved living in the Irene. The apartments are huge and have great windows with lots of natural light. The surrounding area is very safe and close to the Metro as well as numerous restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. This is also the quietest apartment we have ever lived in -- we literally never heard anything from any of our surrounding neighbors. It is an older building, which means there are no washers and dryers in the apartments and the parking is a little cramped. However, the comfort, convenience, and safety of the building far outweigh these little inconveniences. In several of the reviews below, people mentioned having problems with the management. This could not be further from what we experienced here. The management was always helpful and responsive to any problems we had. In particular, Nancy, the leasing manager, is an excellent resource if you need help in the building. She always got things done when we needed help. The maintenance staff here is amazing as well. Things were always fixed quickly, usually within a day or two for non-emergency matters (faster for emergencies). In short, we were very happy here and would live here again in a heartbeat if we moved back to the area.
