There was a time when I would have recommended Gramercy Parc as the best senior complex in Greater Las Vegas. That, however, was 3-4 years ago. Then the property was sold and the long-time manager departed. Since then it has rapidly gone down hill. There has been a succession of seven or eight different managers since her departure, each more incompetent and uncaring than the one before. There are no longer activities (which is the main reason that senior complexes are more expensive that other apartments of comparative size). Long held contracts (pool service, painting, etc.) have been dropped in order to save money (and increase workload of maintenance); activities, bus trips, etc. have been dropped for the same reason; maintenance is slow and not very professional; grounds are not kept to the same standards as before; and the office staff is short with people and uninterested in anything other than collecting rent. All of these changes are the result of cheap ownership, an uncaring management company (Pinacle), and simply unprofessional management. One thing that has made a big difference is that in years past, the manager, asst. manager and head of maintenance all lived on property and had to abide by the same rules and regulations as everyone else. No longer the case. To show how little they care, the current manager parks her car in such a way as to block the wheel chair entrance to the property.
