They will take every penny you have
Overall, the apartments themselves aren't bad. They look nice at least and as long as your friends don't hang out too long, you might be able to fool them. The grounds are well kept and Lakeland up the hill is a cute little community. The management is the problem here. They know there isn't enough available parking so they will try to upsell you from the start. If you try parking up the hill next to the dog park you will get a ticket. The rent is way too high considering you are still in Auburn. However, it is far enough out that the typical Auburn riff raff doesn't make it out there. They will try and stiff you on the deposit. Pet rent is too high, along with the pet deposits. They will definitely screw you with the 20 day notice thing when you want to move out. I just stopped using the heat because it was costing me so much. There was enough coming through the ceilings to warm me up. I lived there during that big snow storm and it was a nightmare. They didn't do anything with that hill for days. I just stayed in. The walls seem well insulated, I never heard the people next to me. The ceilings are fairly thin and I think my upstairs neighbors were bowlers. The office staff were friendly, but that doesn't mean they are on your side.Share This Review
