I'm sorry I didn't write this review earlier to warn my fellow people. I just heard about the asbestos issues going on with this complex and Longwell Mgmt. I know longer live at the Avante' and I'm glad. I moved late May in 2009 and what a relief and I now live in a beautiful place. I lived at the Avante' when it was called CenterStone, and that was 2002. There was several other property groups during that and the last one now, Longwell. Deposit: All I got back was $20 bucks! I wish I would have kept pictures and a video I took after I cleaned my place. It was spotless better than when I moved in. Each time when maintenance would come in to replace or clean the carpet I always received compliments on how clean my place look. I didn't allow shoes on the carpet, don't have children, pets or smoke. So I maintained my place of living very well. I take pride! Of course the kitchen drawers had wear and tear from the silverware. I cleaned my oven the best way possible. I replaced the trays for the stove top burners. My blinds were in great condition. They weren't twisted or broken. Nothing was. I just had a remodel in 2007. Crown molding, kitchen sink fixtures, and bathroom fixtures as well as the tub being spray painted white. When I gave them my moving out notice the on site office crew developed an attitude with me. The friendliness I developed with them was gone. And that was hurtful to me. The walk thru we had, they were picking out every little thing. And I walked away with $20 dollars. Called Longwell to complain and let them know what was going on and 'Bob' didn't care and didn't want to hear it. Oh, well. In 2002 the Centerstone/Avante' seemed to be decent plus it was minutes from work. I lived in an up stair unit towards the 2nd part of the complex. Facing the car dealership and 7-11. My unit also faced the tennis court (then) and swimming pool. Now they replaced the tennis court with a mini soccer field and picnic area. The so called security gate stayed OPEN all the TIME!!! There was no SECURITY! I would see people walk from 7-11 come thru and sit under the gazebo; smoking cigs and drugs, selling drugs, drinking. My patio and window was very close for me to see this all take place. This would their community park. I called 911 all the time. So call security would may have been in danger so 911, to me was the best solution. One night an SUV drove in parked, a bunch of people got out and was partying. Right there in the parking lot. I called 911 on that. I was always calling 911 because, they wasn't security. They weren't on duty till late, late that night. And what would they do??? I saw men (thru my window) urinate where the garbage bins were located or in a near by bush. Neighbors would get dropped off and their friends would urinate in the parking lot or vomit. Talk loud and play their music loud from the car. I remembered this man would get picked up by his friend and his friend would HONK his horn 4am in the morning, every morning. I tracked that and reported it to 'security'. He stopped. But how disrespectful! Maintenance crew was always changing and they didn't speak English so it was hard to explain anything to them. Plus they stunk and wore dirty boots/shoes. I mean I know they are expected to have dirty boots but when coming into someone place shouldn't you have some kind of covers to put over your boots? I would ask them if they have them and the office acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. My hot water tank was replaced 3 times. Back in 2007(ish) they started putting in w/d in units. I got mine but was having issues with the water. Cold was coming out hot. Rinse was hot water not cold. It took them months to fix it. Also they were stack ables in the bedroom closet. I had a small one bdrm. So that was just a mess! My bathroom water was coming out brown and so since this was an issue and such a mystery to them. Why was this a MYSTERY?? They suggested I move to another unit or take a shower in an vacant apartment. I told them to fix the problem. Didn't want to move because by now I had gotten some really nice neighbors in my area. Back in the day I had some nasty and disrespectful people living in my area and didn't want to go thru that again by moving to another area on the grounds. Parking was a big mess! I paid for safety. And every year that went up. My parking space was in front of my building but guest parking was exactly...GUESS! There was no control anywhere when it came to parking. Children played in the parking lot and so there was no speed bumps to be found! The entrance to my building, there was this a long stretch to the way, way back of the complex and I'm sure people would be doing 30mph. Again, no regulations at all! I was afraid for the children in all aspects. Laundry facility...THAT WAS A JOKE. I think three washers and you had to get a card from the office. I didn't trust the whole thing so before I got the w/d I use to go to my sister's place. Yes, there were drug dealers who lived there. One was evicted and they put all their stuff out in front of the building, what an eye sore for a few weeks and embarrassing when my family and friends came by. Someone in that unit also overdosed. My way home from work the ambulance and fire was there and brought out a man on a stretcher. Bottom line: This place is not a family friendly nor adult living place to live. I agree with ALL the other reviews on how the onsite mgmt. NO PROFESSIONALISM! They don't care and that is just a SHAME!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
