Resident 2009 - 2013

11/18/2014

I first moved to the Links in 2009 - it was a two bed/one bath in Phase I. The only downside to that apartment was I lived on the lower floor and had a crappy upstairs neighbor. I rarely had any issues with bugs even though we were on the first floor. In 2011 we moved to the largest floor plan - the 1,093 sq ft two bed/two bath Phase II apartment on the upstairs floor. Floor plan is EXCELLENT with the closet space (two walk in closets!) and my only complaint for that apartment is trying to fit a kitchen table without it being in the living area. When we had to call maintenance, they checked stuff out fairly quickly. I don't think I ever saw a bug in the apartment on the second floor. The biggest complain I have about the complex is the PARKING. Sometimes it was fine, other times it was crazy trying to park near our apartment... but that seems to have to do with our neighbors at the time having a lot of guests coming and going and taking up the close spots. We actually moved out of the Links into a rental house and will be moving BACK to the Links this spring because we miss the apartment! Yes, it has its downsides - parking, could have crappy neighbors, etc. but we never had any issues with management, no one in the office was ever rude to us, when issues came up for maintenance to take care of they did, etc. We even got back all of our security deposit, minus the cleaning fee (and they clearly state the cleaning fee when you sign the lease). I literally did nothing when we moved out except wipe off the counters and vacuum and we got all we could back from the deposit. What is INCLUDED is why we want to move back - don't have to worry about bugs, furnace filters, or paying anything other than for water and electric. Our electric bill was never over $100 and we were in a west facing apartment with the sun beating in on us. I think we barely ran the furnace during the cooler months because we were on the second floor. Rent is auto-deducted so I don't have to deal with paying by check. The closet space is great, the location is nice, and there is plenty of space to walk, rent includes use of the gym and the pool. For $710 in rent, it is well worth it and I am looking forward to going back there.
