I've lived here for about 9 months now. My lease is up soon and I have to move out for various reasons, but if I didn't, I would totally stay here a while longer. It's not the nicest place ever, but the grounds are kept up well, and the remodeled apartments look pretty good for being so cheap. I've had only good experiences with maintenance- they usually respond pretty quickly the one or two times we've had to deal with them. The water faucets are in reverse in a couple places (hot is cold and cold is hot) but no big deal. Some things are a little cheaply done, but it hasn't really bothered me all that much (like the door to the bedroom kind of has a gap at the top). If you want things perfect and super high-quality, go elsewhere. But, if you can deal with a couple little things here and there, then it's fine. The rent's super cheap!
It is not the quietest place to live. There are always people and kids walking around, people by the pool when it's warm. But I really haven't had any huge problems with it, it's not like I've ever been kept up at night because of it.
I was worried that this place would be a little "------" when we first moved in, cause there are a lot of lower-income people here it seems, and it used to be a really bad area I heard, but I haven't heard of much real trouble going on. There are policy here every now and then, but I don't know if it's any more than anywhere else. I haven't heard of other people complaining either.
There's a lot of pot smoking and drinking that goes on, but people seem to leave eachother alone and don't cause much trouble...again, this is only from what I've experienced. Others may say differently if they are closer to that stuff. I don't know.
