We really enjoyed our home on 3869 W. Cortaro Farms Rd. The homes were recently built in the last 5 years, making them vice nice to live in! The location is within 5 min from freeway, grocery store, theater, etc. If you are military, it is about a 20-25 min drive to DM. The ladies that run the company were really friendly, showed you all the possible places (different locations), prices, even discussed positives and negatives to each TRH location and specific home locations. They were not pushy and very helpful.

I don't know how to really describe the homes, they're just really freakin' nice, newly built homes! I promise that you won't be disappointed with the homes at this specific location. We even rented a brand new washer/dryer from the appliance company that TRH recommended for only $40 a month. They delivered/installed them right out of their boxes and when we moved out, they came by and picked them up, no questions asked. The Master Bath was really nice with a bubble jet tub and it had a big walk-in closest.

You'll get one assigned covered parking spot, so if you have two vehicles like us, you'll be able to find a non-covered spot relatively close. The parking lot up there isn't HUGE, but it is pretty well lit and I never heard of anyone getting broken into in our 1 year there.

We even had a nice size back yard that fit a horseshoe pit, 5 ft deep pool and 5 piece patio furniture.

The ONLY thing I didn't like was having to turn left (heading W towards I-10) every morning due to traffic and the school zone making traffic stop/slow down. Slightly frustrating and semi-dangerous for young teenage drivers.

All-in-all, if I ever got stationed at DMAFB again, I would pick this spot in a heart beat. I just wished I would have found it my first year there versus my last. ENJOY!

Did you prefer this to living on base? We are to be stationed at DMAFB in July, I really don't want to live on base. Which style house did you live in, which community? A hacienda? Also, did you really have a pool in your backyard? How lovely!!!
