prospectiveVisited 2015

I've been looking for an apartment for over a month now and Oasis (plus Palm Capri) were two prospective finds on various rental sites. Contacted Oasis, they said they rented out the place. Contacted Palm Capri....no response for over a week. Contacted them again, this time got a response that the unit that had been advertised as vacant was rented out and all they had was something way out of my price range. I mentioned I was a little miffed that I wasn't contacted sooner (which was my main concern, if it's rented, it's rented, but I'd like to know that ASAP so I can cross this one off and move on to my next choices??? this is a really stressful and time consuming process to find a new place after all) and they sent back a reply about it's been rented since before I sent the first email and apparently there's some kind of wait list? Okay...if you KNOW that you have people lined up to rent a place once it becomes vacant, then why the hell are you listing it on all these sites? Today, an Oasis unit popped up on one of the rental sites I frequent so I figured okay, they actually have an opening now and I'll call right away and actually get a viewing...WRONG. Once again, come to find out it's already been leased SINCE BEFORE THE LISTING WAS MADE. This is getting absolutely ridiculous. If you don't have any units open and you have a list of people who want to rent units as soon as they open up, why are you putting up listings on sites that are supposed to be for places in need of tenants??? Granted Oasis/Palm Capri isn't the only property I've come across that does this, but they seem to do it the most and have listings (saying there's a unit available now or giving a specific date) on every single rental site you can find. The listings are updated every few days, even when I've gotten word that no one will be moving out for at least 60 days. People are coming to Trulia, Hot Pads, Zillow, etc to look at places that are ACTUALLY available and by posting a place that's not vacant, you're wasting their time (a VERY valuable thing when looking for apartments considering they get snatched up so quickly) and causing un-needed stress. It's one thing if you aren't clear about it ON YOUR OWN WEBSITE and people have to call/email to find out if there's anything available but this is kind of a jerk move and very unprofessional to keep these listings up for so long after they've been rented out. Please take them down and save others the unnecessary stress.

Hi there, Thank you for this feedback. I apologize since it does not sound like your call was returned immediately. The Oasis is located in fabulous area and the renovated units are superb. As a result, our manager is left with limited inventory. Unfortunately, our pricing and availability reaches our advertising partners via data feed. The information is updated nightly from our accounting software. What you experienced is likely the result of server or browser cache delays or reprocessed data. However, your call should be returned immediately. Our goal is to answer inquires the day they are received. Again, I sincerely apologize and appreciate your feedback.
