I moved in about 3 months ago. The space in the apartment is great. It is large and sunny. However there are neighbors that don't know the meaning of take out your trash. Also, it's great to allow people to have pets, but they are eliminating in the only elevator (of 2) that runs. The elevator has been a $$ situation for over a year I'm told. If you need cheap rent in a great more

We've been living here since 2004, and have really enjoyed not only the apartment itself, but friendly neighbors, attentive service and the superb location. Hancock Park is a million dollar neighborhood in the coveted 3rd street school district. So while one is saving for that 1.1M bungalow, the Chelsea Court apartments are a nice place to call home. Positives - rooftop heated more

I was a renter in this building for over 10 years and recently moved out due to purchasing a condo. I remained for so many years in this building mainly due to the location, size, ease, and safety of the environment. I lived through many incarnations of building owners and management companies, and can definitely say that the current residential managers are the best the more

This complex is probably the best kept little secret. You get to live in a quiet relaxing environment for a very reasonable price. The property is secured and we have had no security issues because all the tenants watch for each other. Lastly, the property management company is only a block away and they respond quickly and professionally. The only downside is that there's no laundry more

This apartment has undergone a series of inept managers, maybe six or seven. The latest incarnation is now called 301 The Park; previously: 301 N Alvarado, The Villas on Alvarado, etc. The result is a disjointed confused relationship between tenants and maintenance and management. There are chronic break-ins in the underground garages. Bikes constantly stolen. The building itself is ok, but more

I moved here and was assured that the building did not have a history of safety issues which was a lie. The manager that told me this had his car driven through the garage gate (but he didn't tell until after I moved in otherwise I would not have). The building is very very very unsafe -- peoples cars get ransacked often and items taken from the building. They could care less about tenant more

I lived her from 5/04-5/06 and stay away from anything on the second floor......you can hear everyone walking above you and the walls are super thin. I'm 6ft tall and I could touch the ceiling with my hand without jumping. The unit is small, but cute with a balcony and management seemed pretty cool. I would definetely ONLY ask for high ceilings and somewhere on the third floor. If you more
