The Brockman Lofts

530 West 7th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Wanted to love this place unfortunately after you move in everyone all but disappears--emails go unanswered, messages are not returned and phones are not answered. Although units looked finished, many, many, many things have not been done--things you don't realize are not functioning until you move in. This will require multiple visits, many phone calls, follow ups more

The Haas Building

219 West 7th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Anyone who moves into this building will regret it. The owner leases out the top floor to a crooked party planning company called LoftSeven, and EVERY Friday and Saturday night they throw parties with a DJ on a P.A. system and obnoxiously loud music. There is a crowd of riff-raff outside the door to the building so crowded that the residents can't get in to their own home. All night more

The Huntington Apartments

752 South Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Two things this place has going: Cheap rent, WIFI, and cleanliness. Cons: No sound insulation to speak off. You can practically hear a gnat's foot steps from the above unit, across, and sides (if you border a light well). They make you sing a 'book' of tenant regulations 90% of its content they do not enforce. There are drug sales in the building, and more

The Old Bank District Lofts (Formerlyn Continental Building)

I've lived here since Feb 2009. I'm half way through my lease and I will absolutely not be renewing it. I was sold on this being a rather social building and I have to tell you that most people tend to keep to themselves. Had I known that - I wouldn't have chosen it because being social makes me happy. Thus, I am not happy. My place is nice. I like it. It's got old more

I spent a year and a half living here and paid my rent on time as any responsible tenant. 10 reasons you want to avoid this place 1. The landlord/manager Eric lives on the property and well you will see why this is a big deal in nearly all the points. 2. He smokes marijuana on a daily basis. Now, each and every person for their own - I don't judge people whatever they do is their more

NASTY. Concrete floors and rude management. They illegally raise rent and will not put clear and concise terms in your lease (which is nearly 30 pages long) so you have some form of protection. When I asked for this, Hilda - the nightmare manager - said "I will not do that. Sign it as is or I'm moving on to the next applicant." This was after nearly 3 months of ridiculous run more

Villa Jenien

I totally agree with the smart person who moved out of this dump! I've been here pretty much the same time and to get the management to do repairs is like pulling teeth! I never use the laundry room because it is infested with roaches, the neighbor above me is very loud and inconsiderate. For the price I pay I expect different. I feel that the manager lied to me just to get me in the more

Don't ever decide to move here. The manager is incredibly rude and holds hatred against her neighbors. she needs to be removed asap! more

If I only came to this site and Yelp for reviews of Virgil Square Apartments that are manage by Equity Residential - I would avoided renting at this place for two years. They never sent me any request to review their apartments like the "folks" at their website, http://www.equityapartments.com/california/los-angeles-apar Everyone giving them a glowing review. I read all the reviews on more

We pay 4200.00 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment and entered into a lease with the understanding the apartment was in working order with a functioning Central AC unit. My husband uses AC all the time so when we noticed it wasnt working we notified the bldg. They said nothing was wrong. After a series of false diagnoses and six months without AC the management finally admitted it wasnt working more
