This is not a bad place to live as long as you; Dont have kids Dont have a car Dont have a night life Dont mind loud children Never break anything in your apartment not bothered by roaches. I lived there for about four years total.. Since the management dont live on the property, they really dont care what happens after 5pm. After 5pm, the crackheads, dopedealers (aka gangbangers) more

Do not move in!! No matter how tempting the " special" may be!! ...Yes they have specials & very desperate in moving people in they have balloons outside now. The new office staff is rude , they hardly NEVER answer the phones & even worse never call you back if you leave messages. You have to go in their office to get things done. Holly Freeman (The manager) has no customer more

The building has gone downhill the last few years, particularly since MZL Properties took over. At least one of the two elevators is broken about 20 days a month, with a note saying it's out of order due to "scheduled maintenance." The maintenance staff is great, but you never know when they will show up because the manager seems to dislike returning phone calls. The more

I've called the Portobello Apartments at 1791 N. Sycamore Ave @ Franklin to find out about it availability but to no avail. So I did an experiment. I called 3 times this past week and left messages in English. Not a single call was returned. I then had a friend that speaks Russian fluently call and leave a message. Lo and behold, she gets her call returned three days ago with more

I was paying 950 and like the apartment and the closet space and the balcony, but the cockroaches were terrible and there was never anything done about the problem. the manager is old, but nice, but the cockroaches will make sure I never rent there again. more

Reeves Street Apartments

I lived at this location for years because of the central location, and back then it was reasonably priced. The rent is now a bit outrageous. The manager is of no help at all even though the manager lives on site. She would rarely return my calls, even for urgent matters (toilet overflowing etc.). Things were not maintained well at all. I would ask for things to get fixed, and nothing more
