pretty good, so far. . .
just moved in a while ago, and love it so far. i did my research and knew what i was getting into. if you're unaware of the homeless issue, you must be blind--it's been like that for 30 years, at least. . . i've actuallyā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Poor Management
The HOA have gone up to a ridiculous increase of 15% from September 2008. Whenever I had a problem with an alarm going off from a vacant loft especially at night, don't rely on management to to turn it off for you. Iā¦Ā See More >anonymous

RENTERS NOT WELCOMED HERE
For a building located in the heart of Skid Row, it is ridiculously snobbish. The "homeowners," who forked over ridiculous sums of money to live in what they hoped would become Manhattan on the West Coast, don't like much about their neighborhood as it isā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Little skid row
This is skid row and it is getting worse. I know this because i walk to the train station everyday. I step over pools of urine and fecal matter until i hit 2nd street. Everyday im accosted by pan handlers, I'm yelled atā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Real Lofts Downtown LA
We went to the LA Downtown Living event and was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the models at Little Tokyo Lofts. Finally, 'real lofts' the kind you would see in New York. Not the new construction glorified apartments with high ceilings andā¦Ā See More >dc20009

Decide for yourself
I rented at Little Tokyo before moving to the east coast and think some of the comments on this thread are way off base.

For starters, the "dangers of Skid Row" comments are totally overblown. The number of threatening -- or even mildly uncomfortable --ā¦Ā See More >anonymous

This Place
My wife and I are considering buying one of the units in this building as it is in the process of converting to condominiums.

There is no secret that this building is adjacent to Skid Row-- that's part of its urban pioneer appeal... If you're lookingā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Caveat Emptor
There are many reasons not to buy a loft here, but the neighborhood is probably foremost. Over the past three years "Little Tokyo" has devolved alarmingly (note: this building is actually located in the Toy District). Where there was once merely rubbish andā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Beware of your surroundings...
I am considering buying a home and at first, I loved this building and the lofty apartments I visited, but I reconsidered especially after walking half a block straight into Skid Row! It was very scary for me to know how close these expensive unitsā¦Ā See More >littletokyolies

This used to be a great place to live...
I have lived in Little Tokyo Lofts for almost two years now, and the first year was wonderful, great people and great management. Than the building got sold and things have gone downhill from there. The new management is converting the building toā¦Ā See More >anonymous

luxury prison
This was my last day in my apt. If you don't already know this building is located on skid row in downtown LA. The one with the crack heads, drug dealers, mental paitents, prostitutes and illegal immigrants. When i moved in twoā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Bad Mgmt, Neighborhood getting worse
I moved downtown for the artistic energy & city vibe last year & was happy w/ my loft at LTL. But new management team are all talk no action. Also, a new mission opened 2 blocks away, which has exponentially increased the numberā¦Ā See More >Malachi777

Nice place, with some gotchas
The management has changed hands a few times now, and are doing an okay job. The units themselves are wonderful, stylish and well thought-out - but frankly the location is lousy. While you can't hold LTL responsible for the homeless situation, it nonethelessā¦Ā See More >anonymous

a waste of money and time
I have lived there for almost three years and every single promise that the "four" different management groups have committed too were never answered! The costs of the security is a waste, homeless people walk through the building, cars get broken into. In other wordsā¦Ā See More >Little Tokyo Lofts
