Except for the time when they cashed my rent check and then served me on accident, front desk was extremely nice and the price seemed good a year ago (since Silicon Valley real estate was booming and Milpitas has no rent control). That being said, my roommate and I had the worst move in experience ever.

Walked in the apartment, everything was a wreck. Every single drawer in the kitchen was broken off its guide rail, you pull it halfway and it falls out. Kitchen and hall cabinets had spiderwebs in them. I had a one day window to move in so I ended up spending 4 hours vacuuming spiderwebs and dead bugs. Turned on the garbage disposal, it blew the circuit breaker immediately and a stench came out from underneath the sink. The doorframe to the bathroom had a chunk missing above the floor and the maintenance guy decided to fix it by covering it up with paint. I was taking a crap and noticed the little paint mountain connecting the door frame to the bathroom tile. In fact, almost everything "cleaning" was dealt with by using paint. We were trying to figure out why we couldn't turn the knobs to the heater then we realized maintenance painted over the knobs so they'd look whiter and now they were stuck.

Door knobs to the linen closet only had one screw each. Both of the sliding closet doors were hanging from a single roller, which basically means you could swing it out like a garage door and it would fall off and it the floor. One of the bedroom doors never shut because a huge chunk of wood was missing out of the door frame, which was misaligned. Master bedroom window had a huge spiderweb crack that was never fixed. One day I pulled my towel off the shower rack and the metal rack flew off the wall and hit me in the shin. I looked at it and realized they decided to be stingy on screws when they stuck it on the wall. I asked them to fix it and next time I pulled the towel, the rack flew into the bathtub. They decided to just stick it back on the wall and hope I didn't notice.

1/3 of my wall outlets didn't work because they're painted over, the bracket was loose, or the plug wouldn't make contact. The master bedroom had one outlet that regularly tripped the circuit breaker. I didn't bother putting anything in the balcony storage shed because it was pretty disgusting in there, a gang of bugs and crap in there. Garbage disposal continued to jam and trip the breaker every 2-4 weeks, bathtub clogged every 3 weeks, toilet water pressure sucks. Laundry room is crap. 16 washers and 16 dryers for the whole complex, but 25% of the machines are broken and eat your change. Another 25% have detergent residue all over the coin slots you spend 5 mins trying to put in quarters to start the machine. Roaches were not uncommon. A few months before I left one of the other tenants, this old perverted Indian guy, walked by and grabbed my roommate's --- when she was walking her dog. I spent that day running around Dry Creek looking for him so I could beat his ---. I could go on but you get the idea. For me this place sucked.
