The Marc Palo Alto (formerly Forest Towers Apartments)

501 Forest Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94301

Dear prospective renter, I highly recommend The Marc Palo Alto, it is a wonderful community to be a part of. I have been living here for the past two years and I am very happy. It's conveniently located, clean, well managed, and it's got lots of perks. They bake chocolate chip cookies in the morning and provide fresh coffee :) The gym equipments are always available for use and the more

First, they were doing construction for a whole year right outside my window. There were loud noises all day every day, except for Sundays. When construction finally finished, it actually got worse. The newly constructed hotel outside installed 3-4 pieces of equipment that turn on and off all times of the day and night and that make really loud sounds. You cannot get a good night's sleep at more

The location is wonderful. Most of the neighbors are good. I've lived here for a few years or so and recently have been disappointed at how the upper management, Equity Residential, has been treating its employees and its residents. Recently many of us have received a $600 rent increase, including a woman who is in her 90's. The community manager, Cameron, is good and he tries his best more

Woodland Apartments

1721 Woodland Ave, East Palo Alto, CA 94303

NEVER RENT FROM HERE!! The cheap rent (without living too far into a bad neighborhood) was worth it only for awhile. They raised the rent several times. The parking availability is near impossibile. (I walked 1/3 mile home almost every night) At night, the 7/11 down the block is not somewhere you want your children. The management is incompetent, uncommunicative, and generally lacking in any more

Parker Palo Alto (formerly Park Village Apartments)

This place is decent enough, but the management is a nightmare - unresponsive, rude and borderline dishonest. Don't rent here, it's not worth the headache. more

Tan Plaza Continental

I totally agreed with the review posted by the user in 2011. I thought this is a gated community and consider it the safest place to call home with young kids. Huge mistake! Instead of taking measurements, and keeping residents informed on the look out for suspicious activity, they chose to swipe things under the rug and cover it up. that doesn't take long before the criminal striked more

Merrilee Terrace Apartments

443 Ventura Ave # 10, Palo Alto, CA 94306

We've lived here about 6 months now, taking a risk to sign a lease while we were long distance and had not seen the place in person. I was more than happy when we moved in. The apartments were kept in nice condition, the closet space was significantly more than I had anticipated, and overall everything was pretty spacious. The rent was also better than I had seen with other more

Stanford West Apartments

700 Clark Way, Palo Alto, CA 94304

I've lived in a couple other apartments in Palo Alto, both near downtown, tiny and overpriced with none of the amenities that you can get at Stanford West. My last apartment was an old jr. 1 bedroom (more like a studio) with no parking and a kitchen just like Harry Potter's room (seriously it was tiny and built under the stairs). The person renting there is now paying $2050 more

Woodland Arms Apartments

1717 Woodland Ave, East Palo Alto, CA 94303

I lived in Woodland Arms Apartments for a year and would highly recommend it. You can't find a studio for a better price in the area, and Akie and Ron do a wonderful job keeping up the complex. My apartment was huge with lots of natural light, and Ron was always available to fix minor maintenance issues. The pool and courtyard area are beautiful, and it was always nice to come home to such a more

Alto Riviera

340 Ventura Ave # 7, Palo Alto, CA 94306

Alto Riviera offers a great monthly price given the crazy Palo Alto rent landscape. The apartment manager is particularly friendly and extremely helpful. He goes out of his way to try to make sure the tenants get the best possible options for their needs/problems. Regarding the apartments, they've upgraded and remodeled all the units, so there are some nice features like woodfloors in the more
