Resident 2009 - 2012

5/4/2012

UPDATE: Since my last review the trashy manager and her druggie friends have since been removed from the grounds. Our current manager Kim is amazing!! She is fair and polite and has put a lot of work and money into upgrading the units. She also has some great policies in dealing with the gaggle of children we have- for example if the kids leave out their bikes or toys se will put them in the office for safe keeping but requires a ziplock bag of trash (collected from the grounds) and a parent in order to get them back. She really has worked to make these apartments a safe and family friendly environment. After our last experience with our complex almost being turned into another Cottonwood- we are all very vigilant and watch out for each other and our homes and the problems with drug users, vandalism, etc... have all been minimized. (May 2012) ORIGINAL REVIEW: The apartments have nice layouts and are pretty large for apartments and have the bonus of having washer/dryer hookups in the units as well as a laundry room on site. They do allow pets for families with persons with special needs. The pool is popular in the summer and the center of the complex is a yard with grass, basketball court, pool and small playground and all parents can look out their windows and see what all the kids are doing. There are so many kids its a nice place for families. The units are not built that well though and sound is a major issue for all the apartments. Downstairs units can hear everything anyone in the upstairs unit is doing and you can hear wall to wall with your neighbors from bathrooms and kitchens. Their furnishings are also a bit shabby. I believe when I signed my lease they had written that the life span of carpet and blinds was several years, I dont recall exactly but somewhere from 5-12 years. Thats too long in my opinion not to update. On a side note while previous renters wrote bad reviews about Gina and her husband they at least made this a safe place to live and while we may be a low income apartment complex they never let tenants behave so. Now that theyre gone the place is going to shambles. Since the new manager has been here weve had kids vandalizing the complex and cars, thefts, trash is buidling up slowly around the grounds, weve had police finding people doing drugs in the parking lot, etc... Its turned into the ------. And from what I understand the manager has been moving in her friends and this is the outcome. She is also hardly ever in the office and when she is she looks to be in her pajamas and is very difficult to work with. I wouldnt recommend moving here until her and her trash are out of here.
