This is a quaint hotel-conversion with a fantastic lobby, wide-hallways, a service elevator and in-building laundry.
What isn't great? It's slightly overpriced and the place is falling apart. I've read the review of the previous apartment manager, -----, and luckily he's gone but the replacement - ------------ - is just a different kind of bad.
--- is forgetful, unpredictable and has problems dealing with conflict - let alone making eye contact. He's sketchy on unit pricing - I had a friend come look at a vacant apartment, he gave me one price, then quoted my friend another when I was standing right there!
He doesn't like to deal with noise complaints (this is feedback from others, thankfully I haven't had any noise issues in my unit) and forgets to address maintenance requests.
Some pluses:
- Some units are incredibly spacious and designed well, others are not.
- Pets are allowed without weight restrictions and no massive pet deposit - I don't own a pet but in SF I think this is a huge plus.
- Location. Location. Location. Near BART and next to trolley line, Huntington Park, etc. Plenty of hotels if you have friends/family coming to visit.
- In-building laundry, plus wash & fold directly across street
