Resident 2003 - 2007

8/8/2007

DON'T BE FOOLED!

I have been and have continued to reside at Quincy Ridge since the year of 2003. I am a mother, wife, professional and student in current pursuit of my bachelors. I wish I could say I've watched the steady decline of Quincy Ridge; however, it would be more accurate to say plummet (somewhat consistent with the job and housing market. :)). With fatigue and frustration written all over me I decided to review the Quincy Ridge's apartment overview as well as the reviews. And all I can say is..... Wow! What spectacular photography or shall I say advertisement! Don't be fooled it looks nothing of the sort, but hey software and technology sure have risen to the occasion. The exterior of the apartment seems uninspired and dull (Paint me please!) and the grounds as well with their little upkeep. Cigarette butts, beer cans, bottles, broken glass and random trash litter the grounds. Watch out dear, don't touch that love is all I can say to my little one as I wisk her away with a sullied sort of look on my face. The parking has been refinished in asphalt, and granted it does look great, but because it has been done over cement this will later cause major problems. The indoor pool and hot tub would be great if they cleaned and heated it and if it weren't always broke. After witnessing a man dealing to another man and weekly visits from the police I now have to question my family's safety. The 24-hour emergency line is obsolete, no one answers nor is on call. One night I called some 15 different times and no anwer and another time same situation. I thank God that there were no broken pipes or heater. The interior of the apartments are falling to pieces as well. Maintenance fails to service your apartment for a week to two weeks and even then leaves work incomplete and has to return throughout the week. I have been having my apartments maintenanced since 2003, the day I moved in. The walls are paper thin with little insulation and the noise unimaginable. I have told myself time and time again they are coming through the roof! Don't bother the manager or staff they are both rude and worthless. They are also very unprofessional (gossip and lollygagging during downtime). You wonder, well why haven't you moved after all these years? Well that is because Quincy Ridge use to be a wonderful place to raise a family or even oneself, however, ever since the overturn of ownership, staff and management the whole bottom fell out. Every salesperson paints a picture and I'll guarantee you that they'll treat you kindly with the utmost respect until the deals in the bag. After that good luck! I will be moving out come the end of my lease and I couldn't be more excited!
