Very pleased with the August. Superb neighborhood, super convenient. The staff, from the leasing agents to maintenance, have been great with communication and super friendly and helpful. The apartment has so much charm. I feel lucky to have found this place.

It's an older building, so it does have some quirks like dated appliances and few outlets, but overall, it's a charming space with wonderful residents. Not to mention, it's in the heart of DuPont Circle. It's hard to beat, especially for the price.

Since 1993 I have enjoyed living in the August. The community is convenient and clean. Residents are very friendly. The building is well kept both inside and out. The grounds are immaculate. I love the vast choices of restaurants and shopping.

Issues with plumbing, mice, roaches and bedbugs, but staff have been very responsive, professionalism, and friendliness. All problems have been solved. It is an old building, but great location and safe.

As I wrote on the precious survey--it has been very poor. I have had mice for nearly five months and the problem was not taken care of until I took my own preventative measures. There was no sympathy or compensation.

The August is in the perfect location in DC-close to everything you'd need, several different metro lines, restaurants, shops, etc. The building was constructed in the early 1900s, and so includes some quirks of older buildings-very few electrical outlets, no central AC, small galley kitchens,… See More >augustresident

I live here
I'm not sure what is up with the other reviews. I live here and have since 2006. The building is clean and well kept. I have not had any type of rodent in my apartment in three years. I've seen two roaches in three years.… See More >zjessez

Hell on Earth = The August
I'm looking for an studio in DC and I had the misfortune of visiting this festering rat hole. The moment you walk through the door you will notice holes in the walls, dirt everywhere, and that it smells like the bum hanging out at… See More >anonymous

Always dirty
The Apt. manager is never around, there are always other people hanging around his apt. He never gets the job done. The building looks filthy and unattractive. Rent is too high.… See More >pegshaw

Horrible!!!!
Filthy, poorly kept. Infested with mice. Raw sewage flooded in the basement. A tenant raped in the basement at Christmas time! Loud renovatons, discarded sinks, radiators, stoves, refigerators and building materials litter the hallways. Great location near the park, but no picnic! I Can't believe… See More >The August is a 337 - 614 sq. ft. apartment in Washington in zip code 20037. This community has a 1 Bed, 1 Bath, and is for rent for $2,028 - $2,527.
