Resident ā€¢ 2006

12/8/2006

All I hear is complaining...

Is it possible for people to complain so much? Seriously, it seems that renters feel that because they pay 1,100 per month, in turn, the leasing office should cater to their needs. Im an actual resident of St. Andrews, and I have lived in the Brighton model (apartments w/bay window) since Jan. 2006. I may admit that I have experienced a few dissapointments since living here. For example, my neighbor was playing loud music all throughout the day. I called the police on many occasions, and they told me that my neighbor could not be ticketed for the "vibrations" caused by the loud music. However, I wrote a letter to the leasing office, and they contacted my neighbor to notify him to stop playing his music so loud. Then, my neighbor submitted false complaints, stating that my tv volume was disburbing his "peace". As a result, the leasing office was willing to set up a sit down meeting. If the meeting did not work out, the leasing office even said they were willing to let one party break their lease agreement. In the end, my neighbor's lease was almost up and they declined the meeting (because they knew i would probally make them look like idiots) and stated they would move out (giving their two months notice).

Since then, my family and I have enjoyed our apartment and the community. I have a young daughter, and I take her for walks, and to the park some days. The most important benefit of St. Andrews is that I feel safe. They are one of the ONLY places that pull backround checks. For this reason, I feel safe, and do not have to worry about the wrong people obtaining leases in my community. Anyone that is an actual resident of St. Andrews is able to tell anyone that this place isn't that bad. Another example, I took my daughter around the community for Halloween, and the neighbors were so nice. It's like the residents in here can't wait to celebrate holiday's. Also, we stopped by the leasing office for candy, but we seen them while we were walking the community (driving around and handing out candy). Im sorry, but I think alot of these renters are as follows; Bitter tenants, conpulsive complainers, cheap-renters (ie. people who feel as though the high-price rent should be compensated with a 24 hour catering service), or fakes (people who work for other leasing offices, renters with bad experiences, or people upset because they allowed themselves to pay the $1,200 monthly rent, and struggle to make ends meet). Unfortunately, no apartment complex is able to make every resident happy. On the other hand, what other apartments are "pound-for-pound" better then St. Andrews? If so, name them. Most important, list the reasons that makes them better. Besides, what other apartment's are on the level of St. Andrews? Rockwood? (lol, those ugly front porches, stackable washer and dryers, and poor example of landscaping? My wife and I looked at those apartments after St. andrews, but were unable to find them as appealing) SchoolBell? The wooden construction, and mucky ponds...what about the cheap fixtures? In particular, the ugly door handles that say "jail" rather then "home")Foxrun? (They just merged with their ------ nextdoor neighbors, Huntly Glen) Kormin? (I liked them until I laid down on the bed in the model apartment. If you want to hear I-95, what better place to spend your nights.)I may admit, my rent is 1,200 , and I plan on looking for a house when my lease is up, but if i had to rent, St. andrews would be my only choice. By the way, Im not the leasing office, and I live on King James Ct. After all, I know the complainers of apartmentratings.com will love to claim I am with the leasing office after reading my entry.
