I can't wait to move out!
I have lived here for a year and cannot wait to get out of my lease. At first, I thought the apartments looked great. However, I was quickly disillusioned. The overall apartment is poorly insulated which translates to high electoric bills to cool and heat the place. Also, noise from neighbors, dogs is often heard. The elevators are CONSTANTLY broken. I usually spend a good 10 minutes waiting for the elevator in the morning. The surrounding neighborhood is completely dead! There are no more than 4 semi-decent restaurants in the area and almost all of them are closed on the weekend. Crime seems to proliferate in the area as well. I recently heard of a tenant who was mugged on his way to his car. This is not an isolated incident as crime reports suggest that downtown Wilmington is one of the most dangerous areas in the United States! Poverty and gang-related activity are high. In general, the REsidences at Rodney Square look decent on the surface. But, once you get passed the surface image, you will find a depressing neighborhood, a noisy apartment, an overpriced rent, and a rude leasing office. Please stay away! Don't let looks, or a fast talking rental agent, deceive you! Also, I noticed that the people that gave the apartment good ratings were temporary tenents. Thus, I would not factor in their opinion as most of them are transient business people who reside for a very short time in the apartments.Share This Review
