IF YOU LIKE THE ------ THIS IS YOUR PLACE

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!... We've lived here for almost a year. I was also fooled by the cozy model apartment and the two faced Staff specially the new Property Manager. At first it was the ideal place; quiet and peaceful and although the building looked like crap, and my bathroom had red stains all over it and the fact that I had to pull a hair ball the size of my fist from the bathroom sink from the previous tenant, at least the previous administration was friendly. Suddenly I get my "lovely" neighbors who decide that I need to hear their music 24/7. I complained in several occasions to Management and, guess what? NOTHING HAPPENED! I asked to be moved to another unit and the Property Manager "kindly" replied "Why do that? You don't know if you other neighbors are going to be better" WOW!!! On top of this entire BS, my A/C broke causing it to start pumping hot air into my apartment. After calling maintenance several times someone finally shows up and he decides to suggest that I don't know how to operate my A/C since it was off when he got there thus "making your apartment hot". After checking the A/C unit he found out that I did know how to use my A/C and that it was the fan that broke. He "fixed it" and left but not before telling my wife that he didn t know how long it'll hold and that we should start praying that it didn t break again. After a few weeks our prayer weren t answered since our A/C broke again. We called the emergency afterhours number but the smartasses give you a list of what they consider emergencies that included A/C failure but only if it was over 80 degrees outside or the unit was on fire so I decided to leave a message on the machine anyways and the maintenance guy called me to give me a weather forecast and assured me that I was going to be fine until the next morning. After all this I had to call 4 times the next day to get the problem fixed and it wasn t until around 3:30pm that they finally showed up. After all this, my "lovely" neighbors decided to get a new addition to the family... who is NOT on the lease but decides not only to share the music, but her ------ manners, appearance, shady friends and lets not forget the "great smell" of weed in the afternoons. With this nuisance came the rest of the ------ crew including a 24/7 drug dealer that now operates from their apartment and in front of the leasing office (after they close, of course) and a permanent collection of cigarette butts and empty beer bottles in the community's green areas. I approached the property manager for the 5th time about the issue of the noise and the trouble maker that is not even on the lease and her reply was basically can't do anything just call the cops.I can give you the number if you want" so once again unacceptable. I did as she suggested and called the cops resulting in a ------ confrontation, so needless to say, that didn t work! So my wife and I are coping with this and to put "the cherry on top" the maintenance crew decides to knock on our door to do an inspection of the water heaters. They knocked once waking my wife and me up and before we had a chance to answer, the door was open with two maintenance guys pushing on the security slide on the door (which, by the way, is only held by two (2) 3 inch nails from the ornamental fixture of the doorway..."VERY SAFE PLACE TO LIVE" huh?...) I asked what happened and they said that there was a notice for an inspection on all apartments starting 5 days prior to that date. They came in and one of them went straight to our bedroom; I'm still on my boxers and my wife was on her underwear. I had to yell to these two creeps for them to stop and wait for my wife to get dressed. The maintenance guys reply was: "don't worry; I didn t look that way or nothing". We went to the leasing office to complain about what had happened and to the fact that we didn t get any notice. The employee told us that she forgot to send the notices out the week before but still the maintenance staff kept knocking and opening doors the rest of the day. I also told the employee that they knocked only once before opening the door and she said: "that is the way they (the maintenance staff) usually do it". So I asked her what would happen if we were home and we were in the shower and the maintenance staff would've walked in? And she replied with a slight movement of her shoulders. If you are a single woman I strongly suggest you find somewhere else to live since it would be very uncomfortable to let a maintenance guy into your apartment when some of the maintenance staff is not trustworthy and considering how many faulty things are on these apartments, YOU WILL SEE PLENTY OF THEM.
