Otter Run was a choice we had made from word of mouth. It got great reviews from my husbands coworkers that had been to Florida in the past. We chose it and sent in our deposit without even seeing the apartment. On our move in date everything was great. It had some wear and tear on the countertops or the cabinets...but thats to be expected. We had moved into an apartment with new tile and new carpet. The tile is very hard to clean and gets dirty really fast...kinda changes colors. Not a place for someone with a pet either. If you move into an apartment with new carpet, they make you sign a form saying you will pay $800 dollars if your pet destroys the carpet. You also have to pay a 350 dollar non refundable pet deposit. Maintenance was ok. Only twice did they come quickly. I just got my ice machine fixed....it took them 6 months. they told me they would put down stripping to protect the carpet from coming up where it meets the tiles...im still waiting and now the carpet is coming up. there is some water damage to the areas under sinks, not a lot of storeage, and a bug problem. the property outside is well maintained by a crew that wakes you up at 8 once a week to cut the grass. parking is limited. too many cars and not enough spaces near your own apartment. the office does leave what i like to call "nasty notes". for example...you go to the beach or swimming and hang your towel to dry on your patio...dont leave it there over night...youll get a nasty note. your pet is on the patio unsupervised....you make any changes to the outside appearance so it doesnt look uniform (even if its unnoticable)....you get a nasty note. CATS EVERYWHERE! on the plus side...the front desk staff are nice, you get free airfilters, and the apartments are a decent size. i would recommend this as a place to live....but just make sure your patio is clean, if you have pets get an apartment with old carpet, and fix your own stuff!
