No presents for us. What gives?

Here's my beef:

The utility billing problems are never ending. When you call those two dopes in the office to try and get things straightened out, they act like they did nothing wrong and it isn't their fault. They just get rude and try to intimidate you into not bothering them anymore. The fact is that it is ALWAYS their fault because, apparently, they never got training on how to properly enter data into a computer. They never help me at all.

That "Technology Package" you are forced into never lived up to how they advertise it. The Satellite TV reception is always screwed up with fuzzy channels. Some are clear some aren't.
The "surround sound" is nothing more than a couple of prewired speakers in the ceiling. Big deal! I have to pay for that?
The internet connection is always dying out and I can't log in half the time. I repeatedly have to have service technicians come over to try and diagnose the problems.
It is all nothing but aggravation. I would rather have Comcast for TV and internet, but you don't get that option here.

The dogs situation is rediculous. I have rented for the past 6 years, since I was in college, and never saw an apartment community with so many dogs. People put their dogs out on their balconies here because they are all screened in. I hear dogs barking night and day, both inside people's apartments and outside on the screen porches. Poop everywhere.

The pool is a joke. Always broken or some other issue.

The rent increases are another issue. They can be huge. Beware of this. It's kind of hush-hush. But you will know about it when it comes time for your renewal.

I moved here from Gables North Village last April in hopes of a quieter atmosphere and better quality tenants. Gables is awful!Mirasol is advertised as an adult community. Yeah right! Not anymore. It was OK in the beginning. I moved here when the place was relatively empty and it was not too bad. But now that all the other Celebration apartments went condo and jacked up their rents sky high, all the people that lived in those places are moving over to Mirasol. There goes the neighborhood! Mirasol is now as bad as Gables Norh Village. Parking is also a big pain. Too many cars now and not enough spaces to handle them.

Mike the consierge is a nice guy and so is the mantinence crew, but Mizz Pulver and her assistant need to be shown the door. Seriously.
I think Mike would do a better job running this place then the current manager. Mikes'got the right "attitude" towards people and he doesn't get PMS. I think Mizz Pulver should re-inlist with her old army platoon and head over to Iraq. She could aggravate the insurgents into submission. They had the same problem over at Gables North Village: That property manager was a nasty son-of-a-gun and should have never been put in a job dealing directly with the public. I don't know if it is a lack of qualified people down here for these jobs or what. They must recruit them from out of state sight-unseen.

Here's a perfect example of not doing things right at Mirasol:
When this place first opened the property manger lived in a one bedroom apartment on property in one of the buildings facing Celebration Ave.
There was a nutty woman who lived directly across the hall from her who was putting everyone through hell with a barking dog she kept in her apartment. The property manager received constant complaints about the nutty woman from various other tenants, but never really took care of the situation properly or completely helped those tenants who were being tormented by this woman and her dog. Remember, the property manager lived directly across from this nutty woman and witnessed what was going on first hand. The nutty woman eventually left when her lease was up for renewal, not becasue she was evicted by management, but because she didn't want to live there anymore. The barking dog continued until the day she moved out. Thanks Mizz Pulver for all your help.

My lease is up in two months and I will not be renewing. This place went down hill at full throttle in the past year. The stories I hear from other tenants make my complaints seem tame. Somehow I don't think GDC really cares about any problems here. A lot of tenants have complained about the property manager, but nothing ever changes. But just like all the other apartments in Celebration, after five years of operation they can put the property up for sale. Some other greedy investment group will buy it at an inflated price and turn it into condos. That's the Celebration way.

I personally would not recommend renting here. Sure it's pretty to look at, but like they say; beauty is only skin deep.
By the way, I never get any gifts from the office staff. All I ever get is a headache. They could at least give me some Advil for the pain. Maybe they should incorporate that item into their welcome baskets they give you when you move in. Forget the pretzels, give me Advil. You are sure going to need some pain killers living here!
