The good: Pretty complex (If the garbage compactor isn't broken), great location and is pet friendly. The bad: Wow. Where do I start...there's no insulation so your electric bill will be horrendous. As in, near or over $200 a month...and that's keeping your thermostat on 80-81. So will your water bill, no matter how much you use. It's a fixed rate but manages to go up if THEY decide to power wash the building. And they probably won't tell you about THAT bill until after your first month. It's noisy, people speed through the parking lots and I've seen 2 people hit by cars. Management doesn't care and ignores requests for speed bumps. Management, actually, is crap. It changes over every 3 months it seems. No one knows what's going on in there. I moved out last month...I read on here no one was getting their security deposit back. I asked about it and was told that they keep it now to offset the last water bill, which is almost $100 a month, by the way. So, imagine my surprise when I received a fwd water bill to my new address! We had a horrific ant problem...they'd randomly just come into apartments whenever without much warning, if any...and yes...people let their dogs crap all over. Their kids play and scream at all hours of the evening, running up and down stairs. It seems like they just started letting ANYONE in after a while, instead of screening them. It went from being a nice place with few kids to a rather crappy one pretty fast. When we moved in, there was a ton of stuff wrong, including the wiring panel completely melted down, screens needing replacing and OLD appliances that weren't energy efficient. Part of resigning the lease was supposed to be full replacement. We got some new appliances, but not all. And yeah...people's friends and relatives are horrible in there. They park wherever (despite assigned parking), screw up the pool and leave crap all over the place. Bikes, toys, dog crap. If you call for a tow truck, expect to wait at least 2 hours, if they even call the tow to come at all. Every time someone shuts a door, you'll not only HEAR it, you will FEEL it. It'll shake your entire apartment...day and night. For the high rent here, you get nothing for the rent except a good location. Which is excellent, but you might want to look around a bit more first--or buy a house instead. Good luck!
