The price may seem alluring, but be warned, this community is bereft with many, many issues.
First, the apartments are completely outdated. The elevators that take you upstairs to your outdated home ALWAYS break down. My husband was stuck in an elevator and called for help. Thankfully he got out, no thanks to the community! Luckily we had a friend come to his rescue. The office staff is ambivalent and rude. The lady that signed us was about as warm as a sno-cone. She didn't give us clear directions as to what documentation we needed, which prolonged signing our lease. This should have been our first indication of things to come!
Second, there are simply not enough parking spaces. You seriously have to get home as soon as you can before 8-9pm, or you will spend an hour looking for JUST parking. I don't want to have to think twice to have a night out with my friends because I know I won't find parking. That's just ridiculous. Each apartment building has an awning where you can drop off whomever at the door. It's not meant to be a parking area. Well, as you can imagine, due to lack of parking, people park there. A resident threatened to hit me because I couldn't back out, and there was service guys there to help a resident get water out of their apartment! With a security guard present! How awesome!
And third, BUGS. Bugs everywhere. Not only do you have to combat no parking, broken elevators, and nasty residents, you come home and find bugs, even after treating your apartment. Not only do you compete with bugs, but our lovely, face-punch threatening residents LOVE to play their music as loudly as they can, so even our international visitors can here them from their flights! Sounds relaxing after a long work day!
I have never felt so unsafe, unwelcomed, and unhelped in any community my husband and I have ever rented. We look forward to our lease expiring, and will gladly hand our leave notice well before the 60 day due date. This has been the WORST rental experience ever, and I hope no one ever comes to rent here.
