Resident ā€¢ 2014 - 2015

5/4/2015

Legacy, though from a surface glance appears awesome, is nothing more than another basic complex rolled in glitter to appear to be something more. Though I am happy with my unit itself as far as size and pricing goes, what upsets me is general lack of care from management with resolving issues or being available for the community to use as a resource. Most typical working Americans will work a Monday-Friday work week leaving the weekends open to shop for apartments or to speak with a property manager (Jeanine) about issues in the community. However, during my time here I have never once seen the property manager at work on the weekends when I am free to speak with her. This surprises me because the office is very busy on weekends from my observations which would lend one to think this would be the time that management should make the most honest effort to be present. When I have spoken with her it has been due to me rushing back home at the end of my work day to catch her as she is leaving around 5:30 only to have her seem generally disinterested in what I have to say. The best solution I get for my issue (valet trash) is an "I'm sorry" or that is not something we have control over. The valet trash deal with this place is the biggest scam this complex has to offer! I was told upon signing my lease which was done with a woman named Terry, that the fee for this trash service was INCLUDED in my total rent. After receiving my first bill and seeing an additional charge of $20 to my statement, I was furious. Management did nothing to resolve this and only stated everyone had to pay and that I probably misunderstood Terry. I read through my lease prior to signing it which is why I asked this woman to clarify for me if this was INCLUDED or would it be ADDED and I was told it was included. It seemed to me like this was just a quick fix to get me to shut and sign my lease. What has me most recently frustrated (aside from paying for this absurd service that often shows up hours after they are scheduled) is that now the price has gone up to $25 per month with no NOTIFICATION to the residents that this change was coming. So now I am stuck paying someone else to take my trash out (not my choice) and they can charge me whatever the hell they want because I live here? Management's excuse? "We don't know why they did that..." Cool. Thanks a lot for being able to offer some kind of constructive solution to a very frustrating problem. It confuses me to no end how I can get no resolution to this issue from management and my neighbors complain of the same issue but rest assured that the community Facebook page will be updated to let me know that cookies are ready in the clubhouse. A cookie for my problems I guess? That doesn't make me feel better. Management that has their priorities straight and actively corrects issues for their residents, when I was lied to in the first place, does make me feel better. At least the gate is getting fixed....after almost a year. Rolled in Glitter.

Dear anonymous, We are sincerely saddened to hear that you are dissatisfied with your living experience at Legacy! The majority of our residents have not had had any serious issues and if so, they are quickly resolved when possible. As for Management working on weekends, the Community Manager is required to be on site Monday through Friday to handle daily business operations. From time to time, the Community Manager will be on hand on weekends but those are typically staffed by Leasing Consultants. They are always ready and available to help anyone with their needs. If there is ever a need where you require the Community Manager to stay after hours to meet with you, all you need to do is ask! We are happy to work with you and plan accordingly. The gate repairs have taken quite a long time! However, there were many unforseen circumstances and costs required. We're very pleased to be able to have them operating again! We'd like to sit down with you in person to discuss any further concerns you may have and are willing to make an after hours appointment. Please contact our office as soon as possible to resolve these issues. Sincerely, Jeanine
