Resident ā€¢ 2005 - 2007

11/28/2007

I lived in Country Club Lakes for 2yr. We had several problems over the course of our stay there. One, we had to constintley call to have our A/C repaired. 5 or 6 times is understandable, but we had to call at least 25 times or more the entire time we were there (not kidding). We had issues with coming home and our Garage door was wide open and were told by the Office people that a plane flying overhead probley did it. That would have been real nice if we were gone for a week and came home to our Garage being emptied out because a plane flew over it. Update the your systems if that's the case. That's what the residents pay for. We also had 2 floods in our kitchen from the washing machine in which the last time it took them 3 days to come and fix. The worst of all that happened was my Wife freezing last winter for almost 4 mo before they came out and fixed the heat. I was away on deployment so i could do nothing. My Wife suffered and they never once extended an apology or tried making it right with us. What they did do is up our rent over a $100 when it was time to reneew our lease and when we decided to move out we notiifed the office 6 days late out of the 60 they require for vacating. Of course they charged me $100 for that but none of the managers would call me back to discuss that charge so i got stuck with it. 2 months after i moved out i found out that the new residents in our old apartment had already put in a maintenance call to have the A/C looked at. What a dump. This place really needs to be looked at by the better business bureau. And the good resident i was, we still cleaned and shampooed the carpets when we left. We never caused problems for our neighbors and respected everyone around us. However we did cause problems for maintenance because of all the issues we had with our apartment there. I will say the complex outside is nice. Doesn't make up of for all of what you have to deal with. The Kitchens are really small with NO storage for anything. Actually even in the 2 bedrooms theres not that much storage either, which is a big deal once you start collecting things. The one bedrooms have a very small master bedroom if your living with somebody else. Being in the military i've had allot of people ask about this place and i've turned everybody away. Country Club Lakes is not an apartment Complex I would recommend to anybody. Check out the Registry a couples min. down the rd. toward JTB. You can get an apartment that is hundreds of feet bigger for a couple hundred dollars more. But whatever you do, do yourself a major favor and look somewhere else.
