At first our experience was truly a nightmare. The unit we were moving into wasn't available to be looked at until the day we moved in (which was a Saturday). I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant so we were a little short for time to wait.. We chose the not-upgraded unit over the upgraded one due to more space but I was very disappointed when I saw the unit. The only unit they could show us was the upgraded model and we had to just hope the not-upgraded one wasn't too bad. Can't blame the property for this, but if you have a choice I would advise anyone to go with the upgraded unit. So we asked if they had an upgraded unit available and there was none so we signed the lease and after signing the lease we saw 2 roaches. We informed the maintenance workers (it was a Saturday that we moved in) and were told the unit was to be sprayed on Monday. We proceeded to move and then realized when night came that there was an infestation of German cockroaches. The office was closed on Sunday so we spent the entire next day unpacking everything to inspect for roaches, and repacking bags and boxes and putting them back in my SUV to keep them away from the infestation and we had to sleep elsewhere. As you can imagine this was a very traumatic experience and it felt like the longest 2 days ever. When they opened Monday we came as soon as they opened and had researched our tenant rights and Florida statutes etc. and had many pictures and videos of the roaches. We really prepared to fight a war with the front desk but after telling them the situation, the office manager promptly offered to move us and we did not have to struggle with them at all. She offered us two units, one that was smaller but the same price, and one that was the same floor plan that we had signed for (the bigger one) with upgraded appliances for the same price as well. It was not available for another week so none of this has been convenient but they definitely did the best they could do in their power to resolve the problem.
Overall - I would say this is a great place but I would suggest you get the upgraded unit and take the top floor so as not to hear your noisy neighbors on top of you (because that was also annoying). There is also a lot of duck feces and parking can sometimes be a little annoying. But what place is perfect right... My husband and I were overall satisfied with Landmark at Autumn Cove.
