More Break Ins! What is going on here?!!! I'm going to post anonymously since I'm a current resident at Post Parkside and I've been told (first-hand) that they will deny you a lease renewal if you question management or their policies -- is that legal? I'm not sure why I care since I want to get out of here so badly -- I'll be looking elsewhere once my lease is up. Yes, the park is beautiful and the location is great (that's their only selling point) but my actual safety is much more important than the close proximity to the park. Break-ins are very consistent here: numerous break-ins in '12 and '13, there was a break-in back in December, another incident in March and now FOUR in one day in mid-April. For a complex of this size, the number of incidents is far too extreme so there's a definite problem. I actually arrived at my apartment on the afternoon of April 13 to find several Atlanta Police cars, detectives walking the halls and the local news media van -- after asking a few questions I found out there were four break-ins in broad daylight! Apartment doors were literally crashed in with some type of battering ram device. How can these continue to happen in this type of complex in the middle of the day? And what if the residents had been home? Would they have been killed?!!! All the management knows how to do is Email out a standard form letter (with a simple date change) telling residents that they're NOT responsible for ANYTHING and that it's basically the fault of the residents for leaving exterior doors open and not getting to know their neighbors! That doesn't work for me -- they need to take some accountability (based on the excessive incidents) and fix this problem! If you move here be prepared to hear "we're not responsible" to every situation that occurs. The only thing they are responsible for is gouging you if your rent is a minute late (they love that) and the astronomical rent increases -- just wait until you experience that little gem. The only benefit you're going to get from this place is a neatly-arranged bulletin board and a free chicken biscuit once a year on "breakfast day." Also, management has changed several times since I've lived here and it's the same routine over & over. This tells me that it's the horrible decisions and policies from Post Corporate -- just an evil and unfair company who has ZERO compassion or responsibility for their residents! No thanks, I'm done.
