Resident ā€¢ 2011 - 2012

There are not many options for quality apartments in Canton, Ga. But this by far is not one of them. I have lived in numerous other apartment communities both in GA and in other states. This would have to be the worst community that I have lived in. I should have known when I called inquiring about the property the first questions is what price were you looking to pay? All communities are going to charge standard rates for a specific floor plan. I was inquiring about a 2 bedroom and was asked what price I was looking to pay. I would think the staff would provide a quote for a 2 bedroom apartment with a sunroom or with a deck. But my mistake I decided to rent here anyways. The apartments seem nice enough but when you start looking into the little details, you can see things were not done correctly. There are paint drippings coming down the walls, mold stains in the window seals, most of the fixtures are very outdated. The gym area is defiantly not up to date. The apartments are very poor insulated during the winter it is very chilling near the doors and windows. After my lease was up, the rent was quoted to go up $75 a month which is a lot higher than most other places that I have rented. My water bill was also very high. For 2 people living in one apartment our bill was almost $200 a month. I contact the company who provides the water/sewer service to get a breakdown on my bill. Walden Crossing implements the $26 a month fee which I am assuming is to compensate them taking out our trash. Which I would rather take my own trash out than pay $26 a month for it. You are also billed a fee if your trash is not put in your bin from 6pm-8pm only. The office staff seems to have a high turn over rate as well, the office girls that were there when I moved in had changed when I moved out. The same property manager was still there but it was usually impossible to get in touch with the her. I also never knew it was considered a "luxury" to have overhead lighting in the bedrooms. These apartments do not provide any overhead light fixtures in any bedrooms. They will install a fixture if you wish to provide the fixture. Never have I lived in a community that I had to provide a light fixture. I never had many problems with the maintenance staff, if I called in an issue it was usually fixed in a timely manner. Different people look for different qualities when renting I hope this review will provide you with some additional information about this apartment complex.
