Resident 2010

6/18/2010

I would like to address some concerns I have with my leasing experience with Wesley Place. I feel when I was a potential client I made every effort to make the job of my leasing agent, Markisha Lattimore, as seamless as possible by providing the security deposit, proof of renter's insurance, and Jackson EMC account number in a more than timely fashion. More so, I provided the first month's rent monies prior to my move in date of January 9, 2010 and before ever viewing the apartment in an attempt to make the process easier on both the staff at Wesley Place and myself. Therefore, I feel I have done everything possible as a client way above par. I would also like to quote Ms. Lattimore in saying I am one of the best clients she has dealt with in her tenure with Wesley Place. On the other hand, Wesley Place has been not in any way met my expectations. I would first like to mention the events of January 9, 2010, my move in date. I was advised I could come by the leasing office and pick up my keys so I could begin moving my belongings into the apartment. When I arrived, leasing agent Tiffany stated there were no keys to my apartment. I was told the individual who had cleaned my apartment the evening before had not returned my keys. I had waited for approximately an hour to an hour and a half until I believe you, the property manager, finally gave the approval to change out the lock. During this time, I have people assisting me move from Rex, GA which is in Clayton County and approximately 45 minutes to an hour away and here I am wasting their time which is valuable. Next, I would like to address the events of January 11, 2010, the day of my scheduled inspection. I had previously on January 10,2010 provided the leasing office with a list of issues with the apartment. At that time, my inspection was scheduled for the following day at 12:30 pm. When I arrived at my apartment, I received a call from Ms. Lattimore stating there was an emergency in which the maintenance crew had to tend to and asked if I could reschedule for later that afternoon. I then agreed to a 4:30pm time slot. When I arrived once again back to my apartment, I waited and waited an nobody showed up to conduct the inspection. So I called the leasing office around 5:00 pm and a gentleman advised I would need to reschedule once again. Once again I feel Wesley Place did not have any concern for my time which I personally see to be just as valuable as the staff at Wesley Place. My main concern with the inspection not being conducted as scheduled is that I do not have any hot water in my bathroom and I am having to carry pots of hot water from the kitchen to the tub just to take a warm bath. To top all these concerns off, the washer machine's valve in the apartment busted and fooded everything in my apartment. Just be careful when considering Wesley Place as a home.
