Resident 2012 - 2013

8/18/2013

DO NOT move into this place! Residents are given a $300 referral fee and I turned 9 friends away from moving here. It was not worth losing friends or even aquaintenances. I moved here because I was unfamiliar with Georgia. I just moved here and Autumn sold us on the apartment. Unfortunately, it is a nightmare. The parking is a nightmare. There is not enough parking, and then people are constantly taking up two parking spots or leaving cars parked for months. The insulation, if there is any is horrible. I can hear the residents upstairs when they use the bathroom. There are children playing in the streets, and don't move, or move very slowly when you are driving thru. They state no aggressive breeds of dogs are permitted, but I have seen 11 in the past three months. Some tied to patio poles, not very safe! The trash is thrown everywhere. The dumpster area is constantly overflowing into the streets. People are evicted and belongings thrown into the street-blocking up even more parking. Maintenance shows up for all repairs carrying caulk. The vinyl flooring in adhered to the floor with caulk, the cabinets are lined with caulk-everything is caulked. There was mold in the windows when we moved in, along with cracks, tears and holes in the walls. The carpet we were told was new, but no padding was layed down first; feels like outdoor carpeting. The "state of the art" gym they claim to have is a far cry from anything state of the art. The gourmet kitchens as they call them are the worse. Not even in a trailor would they be considered gourmet. The ceiling fans shake whenever the upstairs residents walk or when the kids upstairs jump around. Not to mention the fact that plaster falls off the ceiling. Appliances are super old. The oven was not cleaned nor were the bathrooms when we first moved in. Noise all night. Trains, dogs barking, gunshots, loud, loud music in the early (2-4 a.m.)hours and screaming children all day long. Cops are here on a daily basis. Deliveries are not even made to the apartments by the post office, they simply drop them off at the office and don't leave a notice. The property manager, James, is the worst property manager I have ever come across. Nothing gets done (except evictions). Residents are constantly blown off by him in regards to property issues. The main or head office isn't any better. When you call about an issue that isn't being corrected, they say ok, but nothing is done. They want the apartments to be cleaner than when you move in. Please, please consider your family before moving here. For your own sanity as well as your families safety, move elsewhere. I have a countdown going until we move.
