I initially view the apartments with Daphne last year. I was very impressed with her and the complex and was planning to move in around April of 2008. I moved in with by boyfriend instead. Fast forward to the present, our lease will be up in October and went back to look at Timber Trace because of the experience I had with Daphne. When we first went to view the apartments on 7/12/09 (Sunday), Carla took us to view one apartment that was within walking distance (only after I asked her did she have any around that we could walk to) because the van was out of gas. Her comment to the gas situation was, well I guess we can t show any apartments today. We saw a one bedroom townhome. We took the application and still decided to fill it out because the community appeared quiet and well kept. We returned Saturday, 7/18/09, to turn in the application, see the two bedroom townhomes, and pay any fees. We arrived at the same time as another group. Then another couple arrived after us. I Informed Cree of what we wanted to do (look at some two bedroom townhomes and turn in the application). The first group, that was just looking got to see the apartments first. When Cree arrived back with the van, another woman took the 3rd group to see apartments. Finally, after 45 minuets, Ayana came over and asked if anyone was helping us. We told her how long we have been waiting and even suggested that someone at least take the application so that we will not just be sitting there. Ayana apologized and explained that she had just arrived back from lunch, which we saw her walk in. We were discussing with Ayana which townhomes to see. At that time, Cree came over and said that she will take us to see the townhomes and asked which ones.. We told her we wanted to see two townhomes. When we got in the van, she only had a key for one. I told her again we wanted to see two, she looked me straight in my eyes and stated, you told me only one and that is why I only got one key. I informed her we told her two. She again stated, you told me one. I then instructed my boyfriend to handle the situation before I say something to her. My boyfriend suggested that we come back to see the apartments later on. Cree agreed saying, That is a good idea. I then informed that I will not be coming back. I stated, I am not paying a deposit and application fee ($125.00) for bad customer service. The sad part is Ayana almost had us overlooking everything, but I refused to have to deal with poor customer services for at least a year, especially if I have not even signed the lease yet. I just kept thinking it will get worst. I ended up going to another apartment complex that is a gated community that I would have NEVER considered (because they are too expensive). There prices for two bedrooms were the same as Timber Trace with a lot more amenities and still closer to shopping stores. I filled out the application right there.
