My wife and I just moved from Indian Ridge apartments. Overall, our experience was good.
Starting with the cons:
To say parking was a nightmare is an understatement. Unless you are parked by 4 or 5 pm (on weekdays) or 9 to 10 pm (on weekends), you can plan on parking at the opposite end of the complex. Getting off at 11 and picking up the baby, then parking and walking all the way from the other end of the parking lot was a pain.
Centipedes: From the first month there were issues with centipedes. I killed an average of about one a day until winter time. Growing up in Hawaii, I dealt with tropical centipedes which get about 3 to 4 times the size of the house centipedes. So they didn't bother me much. My wife on the other hand.. had a lot of trouble dealing with them.
Noise: First few weeks I heard the next door neighbors every other night. After they moved out, the noise shifted to footsteps in the unit above. I could swear they were moving furniture.
The same next door neighbors had a bad habit about flushing non-flush-able items which caused regular back ups in the buildings plumbing. After they moved out, the problems stopped.
Now on to the Pros:
Neighbors: Despite the plumbing and noise issues, the neighbors were very friendly and helpful.
Office Staff: The office staff was very on the ball. After having to move to a two bedroom (and the unavailability of a unit) they offered suggestions as to other apartment complexes (not owned by their company) and were willing to go to extend our lease (despite having three people in a one bedroom) for another 3-6 months while we found a new place. They were very quick to answer questions and were professional about dealing with current and potential tenets.
Maintenance: The average wait time for a service call was less than an hour. I would call about simple things and they would be there almost immediately. The longest time I had to wait was one day and that was for one nonworking stove burner the day after New Years. Maintenance was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Location: The location was good. It was very close to everything.
I'd definitely recommend Indian Ridge Apartments.
