Professional staff that get things done is a plus. As are the grounds and neighboord - it's nice to live in a nice area.

That's where it ends, really. Paying high rent for small 1BR's and having to pay every single utility including *trash* is not worth the value.

If you are living alone, supporting yourself and don't have a lot of extra income I would recommend looking elsewhere. I came to AMLI at Chevy Chase in a rush to find an apartment - they were very accomodating but I cannot stay past the one year. They're raising the rent over $40. Doesn't seem fair compared to the situation.

Also, there's something strange about the water setup in the buildings. From my apartment, everytime someone in the building turns on a shower I can hear the water running so loudly I have to shut doors to sleep and people I'm on the phone with can't hear me talk over the noise! I must be right next to the water closet...strange way to construct a building.
