Do Not Live Here!!!
This place is terrible, which is strange since the company that runs it has such a good reputation. The maintenance staff and door personnel are both friendly and do their jobs well, but the office staff is lazy and don't seem to care about anyone's issues. The elevators break frequently. Out of the three in the building, one is out of order and expected to be that way for some time, a second elevator breaks frequently, sometimes with people in it. One elevator was recently fixed, so we do have one elevator in the building that works. Unfortunately with 33 floors, with 12 apartments per floor, one elevator is not near enough. Waiting 30 minutes for an elevator is not unheard of, and sometimes you can expect to wait longer or take the stairs. The property manager handles this by posting a piece of paper saying that they're working on the problem. "working on it" seems to take months and months. Another problem is the air circulation in the building. The hallways are comfortable, but the apartments do not have thermostats, just two control units. You can't set them for a specific temperature, and the unit never heats or cools evenly. The bedroom has only one small vent, meaning to sleep comfortably you need to crank the air up so that it's either freezing or stifling in the living room, depending on the season. The parking is also a mess. The price for a spot is $210 a month, which isn't bad for the city, but the building is not secure and there is no way to make sure that random people don't park in the reserved sections. I've come home several times to find that I can't find a parking spot and need to park on the top of the building, which is there for public parking. I leave for work very early in the morning, and have found homeless people sleeping in the elevators many times. I'm a pretty big guy so it doesn't bother me, but if I was a woman I would feel extremely uncomfortable getting into an elevator with a drunk homeless person. This place is most definitely not worth the money it costs to live there.Share This Review
