Avoid unless you want to live in DORM!

I moved to Chicago from Houston this past summer. While here on a previous trip, I had one afternoon to find a place. I looked at several in the W Loop and ended up choosing Presidential Towers. WHAT A Mistake that was. I was VERY impressed with the building on my tour...they are modern and spacious. It wasn't until living there about a month ( I moved in on July 13 ) that I realized I had made a mistake. The staff is absolutely HORRIBLE. They are rude to my guests, and to me. They don't make any effort to learn your name, you have to show your ID for everything. They are very rude to my guests all the time. One staff person at the security desk is worth mentioning as not fitting into this description. Her name is Edie. Without exception however, everyone else there is lazy and doesn't care a first thing about service. THEN there are the fellow residents...I would estimate 70% of them are students. I don't have anything against that, but when that many students live in a confined space, it's like living in a dormatory! The rude front desk staff makes it feel even more like that! Oh - and don't be fooled by the conveniences of a "City within a City". nearly all the stores in the "mall" are closed...and the food mart is terribly expensive. Expect the same rude behavior there too...There is even a sign on the salad bar there that says, "No Snacking! If you are caught snacking you will be charged..." IT's AWFUL. I am moving as fast as my lease is up.
