Bed Bug Problem is very much alive at PT

I moved in last July and was initially attracted to PT of its great location and affordability. After moving in, I soon discovered many problems. 1) The staff working at PT are not very helpful and a lot of times are very rude. Many are simply not respectful. 2) I haven't had much problem with the mail handling system here. But I do find it to be a hassle sometimes to pick up my package, because the mail center closes at 7PM and a lot of times I work late and miss the 7 oclock closing time. 3) People talking in the hallways are loud and inconsiderate. I suspect some units on my floor have more than the "allowed" number of tenents. Like one unit on my floor has more than 4 people living in there when it's a smaller studio than mine. I have the biggest studio floor plan in the building and I find it very nice and spacious but I can't imagine having to share my studio with 3 or 4 other guys. How is that possible? Well, people do it here at PT. It would not be a problem if these guys were considerate and talk softly or even just talk in their own apts. Rather, they like to talk outside and at any hours in the day. One Saturday morning around 10am, I was trying to sleep in late after a long week in the office but was woken up by someone talking in the hallway. I was upset and told the guy to be considerate. The activity stopped for 1 day and quickly resumed. 4) The ventilation is controlled by management, which means although there is a temperature control unit in each apartment, the AC or Heat is not going to be turned on if the management doesn't turn it on. This can become extremely uncomfortable at night and cold in the apartment when temperature drops and the heat setting is turned off by the management or vice versa. 5) Lastly but definitely not least and probably the most important reason why I'm not renewing my contract. The bed bug problem is very much alive here at PT. I was so close to renew my contract, but I am so glad that I didn't. You might be thinking why I was so close to renew my contract - well to me, a little discomfort is manageable especially with the long commute I save. I thought that was just the price of doing the business but little did I know that I would experience discomfort to another level. I don't know how the bed bugs got to my apartment but I've seen them and been bitten by them many nights now. I had to throw away many furniture and throw out many clothes because of this. Trust me, it's not a problem you ever want to deal with. I feel so strongly that I should inform this problem to any prospective tenents that are looking into PT. Make sure you check the history of the unit you are moving into or simply avoid this place all together. Why deal with the aftermath when you could avoid it in the first place. When I signed my contract, I didn't do enough due diligence. If I had known about the bed bug problems, I would not have moved in regardless of the affordability and location advantage I mentioned above. Good luck finding a decent apartment now that you have been forewarned!!
