My fiance' and I moved into Bayshore less than 3 months ago and the entire experience has been terrible. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone! In the short time we have lived here maintenance has had to come to our apartment 15 different times 7 of which were for the same things. An example of our experience here is as follows: 8/29/13: I made a phone call to maintenance that the bathroom sink was leaking, there was mold under the sink because of it and mold was growing in the tub. 8/30/13: Maintenance came and replaced the bathroom sink and caulked OVER the mold in the tub. 8/31/13: 5:41 pm; I called the office complaining that maintenance didn't take care of any of the mold under the sink and to inform them that they caulked OVER the mold in the shower. A lady in the office said she would send maintenance over immediately. 6:36 pm; I go into the bathroom to wash my hands and as I turn on the water the knob shoots off and water starts going EVERYWHERE. I was clueless as to how to shut off the water so I immediately called maintenance twice and neither time received an answer (both times I left a message.) I then called 911 and they told me how to shut off the water. In the mean time I was shocked from standing in the water that had electric cords in it. 6:56 pm; Maintenance calls me and I tell him the issue. He then tells me, "Yeah I got the message about the mold but I was driving to steak n' shake. I just got here so I'm going to order my food and eat and then I'll be over." I ask him if he realizes I'm on the second floor and have about 4 inches of water in my bathroom and it is coming out into the hallway. He replies with, "Well then I'll try and eat fast." Immediately after I hang up with maintenance I call my father in law and tell him the situation. He called maintenance and left a message saying how ridiculous it is that he isn't coming immediately. He then receives a call back from the maintenance man and the guy is cussing him out. My father in law then called me and told me he was on his way over because he didn't want me here alone while the guy was here. 7:33 pm; Maintenance finally shows up. It takes him about an hour and as he is leaving he walks into the living room (where myself, my father in law and my mother in law are sitting) and says, "Oh did you guys come to chew me out some more." 9/1/13: 12 pm; My fiance' wakes me up to tell me our toilet is leaking. (5th time now) 1 pm; Myself, fiance', father and mother in law went to the office and stated our complaints. We told the lady our toilet is leaking but that we did not want that same maintenance guy in our apartment. 3:14 pm; I get a call from the maintenance manager saying that they will not be sending anyone else to fix the toilet leak until TUESDAY. (Today is Sunday) And that my only option is to let the maintenance guy from last night come or to wait. 4 pm; I called the office and told the lady it's fine if they don't want to send anyone but that I will NOT be cleaning up the water and if there is damage I'm not paying it. She said, "It's not that we don't want to send anyone. No one but that guy you don't like is working." I asked her why the maintenance manager couldn't come himself and she informed me, "He doesn't like to." I can not wait to be out of this lease and I will NEVER again rent with JC Hart communities. I HIGHLY suggest ANYONE looking for an apartment stays FAR from Bayshore.
