I just moved in to Park Jefferson and was welcomed with an unfortunate surprise. One of my first days of staying here I walked into water throughout my kitchen and living room floor. My kitchen sink had backed up and caused a leak. Obviously, as anyone would be, I was not happy. A few of my items were damaged and I was presented with an inconvenience.
Even with this occurring I am still very pleased with my decision to live at Park Jefferson. I immediately called the emergency after hours phone number and two of the staff maintenance men were at my apartment VERY quickly. They were such a great help and got me transferred to a new apartment that night. The office staff had all the necessary paperwork changes waiting for me the next day for a smooth transition. I do certainly appreciate how kind the staff were to me and their willingness to work with me in this very unfortunate situation. All that I have come in contact with who have asked me about this matter I have let them know how professional everyone had been up to this point. I brought in a list of all that was damaged along with the price I thought they were worth. The property manager agreed to cover all the damage expenses and again apologized for the incident. I now understand that this could easily happen no matter where I decided to stay or even if I owned my own home. This just shows why it's so nice to rent and have a maintenance team there to do the dirty work.
