Resident 2010

12/17/2010

Copper Beech Baywater may look nice from the outside, but the management is terrible, the maintenance is slow/ineffective, and you don't get many of the things you pay for. For instance, I paid for parking, yet I'm still forced to find parking elsewhere because there just isn't enough here. There is a "free" shuttle service, but it's a little minibus that runs maybe once an hour, so pretty much useless unless you want to stand in line in the cold for an hour. Also, the internet is included in the rent and is supposed to be high speed-I've seen faster dial up. The washer and drier work, but only if you run it like 3 or 4 times, in which time your clothes would have about dried themselves anyway. The walls are thin as paper, which means if you listen you can hear every conversation at your neighbors-not to mention loud parties. This also makes the place REALLY cold in winter, even though your electric bill is ridiculously high from running the heater at full power. The biggest issue I have is the attitude of the management. They are just downright rude and don't care about your problems. I've had to fix everything myself because after requesting maintenance multiple times and waiting for over 2 months, you give up hope. The moral of this story is that there are just too many nice apartments around Purdue to even consider a place like this. I wouldn't even recommend this place to worst enemy because that would help keep this place in business.
