Resident 2012 - 2013

5/23/2013

I moved to Overland Gardens in October 2012. I wish I had acknowledged the reviews I read before moving here. Because I was pressed financially, I had no choice but to move to the "------!" Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that I'm not homeless but, with the price of rent, this place could be run more effectively and efficiently. The office staff is straight up "------!" They don't listen to you when you call and there's always a gimmick when something breaks. For instance, my dryer would not dry. I called, they came and serviced it. They practically had to take the dryer apart and it still wouldn't work. I finally got tired of them trying to put a band-aid on a problem that was too big for one and called the management company. Within one day, I had a new washer/dryer. You would've thought after my 5th call saying the dryer wouldn't dry, they would've come up with another one and I wouldn't have had to call the main office. Another thing they don't tell you is if something breaks, you're responsible for paying to get it fixed! WHAT????? Everything costs $35 from the cheap blinds to keys for a mailbox that was evidently on the verge of breaking before I moved in! I'm too DONE!!!! I'm in the process of looking for some place else to live when my lease is up. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to a homeless person!
