History, luxury in the ------
I´ve lived here for a year and a half, and have been generally pleased. Service requests are usually handled the same day, the management company is very friendly, and the apartments are georgious. Note that there are two parts of the complex: the tower and the warehouse buildings that surround it. The complex is on the National Register of Historic Places! The entire apartment complex is very quiet. Security is always a concern downtown, but I feel pretty safe even late at night walking to the building from my car. There is always enough parking, and the complex is well maintained. There have been intermittent problems with the plumbing and some of the corridors smell funny. Be sure not to get an apartment near the garbage chute (noise and odors). "Security guards" aren´t really security, they just man the gatehouse. The brownstones with separate entrances are very desirable. There are some families, but most of the residents seem to be single professionals. It´s a beautiful oasis hidden within the decrepit, decaying remains of downtown Detroit.Share This Review
