I lived here for 18 months on the 3rd floor in building 5743. Everything was ok until things started to break inside the apartment. I let them know the day I moved in in May of '06 that the AC unit needed a new compressor. That didn't get fixed until it broke (which was a 85-90 degree weekend). They attempted to fix a broken compressor for 2 days. Finally it was replaced after a week of unbearable sleep for me and my labradore. When I asked them for some concession on rent for that week, the "management team" told me it wasn't as hot as I thought it was and instead gave me a floor fan. I also have had major problems with the garbage disposal and was told by the maintenance staff not to put food in it!?!?! I have had drywall plaster falling off the ceiling from a leaky roof that took 3 weeks to fix. While they were taking their time to fix this, I spoke with the Ingham County Building Inspector and he informed me that over half of the buildings have failed inspections over the past 3 years. As far as the management goes, expect to be shot down and treated as if you were stupid if you make a complaint. ----- claims to have been through every situation in life that you can think of and they can't seem to keep an assitant to her. I don't know where they got -----, but she is the worst I have ever dealt with. I mean, I thought Prime Housing Group was bad, but Lakewood, definately tops them for terrible service. So in short, don't live here if you can help it.
