Resident ā€¢ 2014 - 2015

6/22/2015

First, I stopped staying at my apartment 8 months ago because being in there for more than a few hours made me ill. I had heavy water damage to my ceiling and floor from last fall's heavy rain storms. Parts of the ceiling were cut out and replaced, then painted over. The same story applies to the apartment directly above mine. But nothing was done to fix the roof, so rain still gets in and causes mold that they won't even try to fix. My apartment smelled fine, other than the dust-like smell that I can only attribute to the mold, until I vacuumed and shampooed my carpets this weekend. Now the whole place smells like cat urine. During my final move out inspection today, the inspector pulled the carpet up from four areas and revealed huge urine spots that I am being blamed for. I have never had a pet in the apartment, but I am being charged over $600 to replace their carpet. I did not have access to pictures of the carpet after the last tenant, so I'm assuming they don't pull up carpet unless they smell something. I guess that's what I get for trying to be thorough in my cleaning. I will not be back to Ramblewood. Save your money, or they'll try to take it all.
